Press the yoke into the tranny measure from center of u joint knuckle to face of yoke at the diff. make sure they are inline and the same plane as one another so your measurement doesnt get skewed. Like.Flange and slip-joint would refer to how the driveshaft goes into the rear of the trans or x-fer case. Both of those pictures are flange style rears. The front will determine what style you have. The second pic is more what you would have (if you also have the 8.8" rear, non-removable carrier).
