I have a 97 4runner with the V6 engine and a Manual transmission. From my research I have an R150f. So I picked up a used R150F and was in the process of swapping it out. Everything was fine until I went to match the transfer case onto the new to me transmission. The R150 and R150F were used throughout the 1995.5 - 2004 period. I don't know about the R155, which is used on 4-cylinder 2005+ Tacomas.

We have an adapter to put a gear drive t/case behind a R150F transmission, and we also have an adapter to put a gear drive reduction housing in front of both a 1988-1995.4 V6 Chain drive t/case or a 1995.5-2005 V6 Chain drive t/case.
