Has anyone been able to try the power stem breech plug in any of the .50 caliber Knight rifles? Just curious what the reults were compared to the standard plug. The power stem is only talked about in the .52 cal disc. I noticed that it is also available for .45 & .50 calibers, but no specs on results in those calibers. Thanks,

You should be able to use the bolt from your disc elite in your original disc rifle with either the full plastic jacket breech plug or the non full plastic jacket conversion. I think so anyway. Art. I am on the farm staying in my camper! had to discharge this morning! Have to head home today! In an MK85 using T7 or blackpowder, I have found Knight's breech plug grease to work very well. I use teflon tape in Elite/Extreme shooting BH209. FWIW, I get better accuracy out of a MK85 using T7 than when I installed the 209 conversion kit and used BH209. Plus the blow back seemed to be less using the #11 cap.

This breech plug …I use stock plug on my 500 but the I only shoot Black powder charge of 97grns. I tried shooting bh with 400 grn bullet had same problem as you are having. I think it is to much pressure or plug is burnt out. Also like you said your breech is gas cut or plug isn't sealing all the way against the face.
Needless to say, getting the original plug out was a long, white knuckled affair but it finally came out... in 3 large pieces. To avoid this, I currently remove the plug for cleanup/maintenance every 15-20 shots. When reinstalling, I currently use Loctite LB8150 Anti-Seize compound. It works great, but is messy.Mark thinks either the face of the barrel was not quite square or my barrel breech plug threads were off just a little .
