Sep 25, 2021. My trunk wouldn't open with the remote or push button. Checking the fuses, I found #16 was blown. I replaced the fuse and now the remote will open the trunk. The push button works when all the doors are unlocked. The manual says the push button should work when the doors are locked and the remote is within 3 feet, but it does not.It is controlled by a button on the key fob or a button inside the car. When you press the button, the trunk will open automatically. If the battery is dead, you won’t be able to use the button to open the trunk.
