I ordered this engine new over the parts counter from a Chevy dealer in 1972. I thought it was a 1970 LT1, but the CEC prefix doesn't match up with anything I can find in the books. The front pad has been machined and there are no other numbers visible on this block as it is still in the vehicle. The numbers are definitely 3870010.
