359 posts · Joined 2010. #5 · Aug 10, 2015. Just an update, they did change out the belt tensioner pulley and the rattle noise is gone. No charge under the Honda Care ext. warranty. They said my belt looked fine, which it did still look ok to me too. Our van is a 2011 with almost 41k miles.First I would try to re-align the belt. Release the tension on the belt and line it up correctly on the power steering pulley. Make sure it looks right everywhere. Then release it, start the car, and see if it stays correct or moves. If it again becomes off-centered, I'd say there's a problem.
